8x8 Work Mobile App Does Not Load in Android Auto

Symptom

After updating to the latest version of Android Auto, the 8x8 Work for Mobile application no longer shows under your Android Auto list of compatible applications. The application still operates normally outside of Android Auto.

Applies To

  • 8x8 Work for Mobile for Android v 11.8

Resolution

8x8 is working on supporting this functionality in a future update to the mobile application.

Cause

8x8 has seen some changes to the requirements for Android Auto compataiility from Google.
