Fix for MS Teams Sync Issue for New Users

Symptom

Newly created and assigned users who have been enabled for Voice for Teams in the 8x8 Admin Console do not appear in the 8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams admin portal.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the 8x8 Admin Console and navigate to Users
  2. Locate the affected user and click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  3. Scroll down to the Services and permissions section.
  4. Toggle the Enable MS Teams Integration switch to disable the Voice for Teams license for this user.
    • The switch should turn gray.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Wait for ten (10) minutes to allow backend services to process the license disablement. ⚠️ Do not immediately re-enable the license, as this can cause sync failures.
