Move an 8x8 Admin Console User to a Different Site on a Separate PBX

Objective

Move a user from one site and PBX to a different site on a separate PBX.

Applies To

  • Users
  • Admin Console

Procedure

  1. Log in to Admin Console.
  2. Select Users.
  3. To the right of the desired user, select Edit (pencil icon).
  4. Under Services and Permissions, to the left of the assigned service, select X to remove the assigned service.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Under Basic Information, select the desired site for the user.
  7. Under Services and Permissions, assign the desired service.
  8. Select Save.

Additional Information

If you are trying to move a physical phone to a different site, keep in mind that the phone is tied to a user. You would need to update the user's site to get the phone to display at the new location. This can done via the Bulk Edit feature in Admin Console, even for only one user.
