Enable or Disable a User from the Contact Directory in 8x8 Admin Console
Objective
Hiding your users from the contact directory that displays
in 8x8 Work for Desktop and 8x8 Work for Mobile.

Procedure
Log
in to 8x8 Admin Console.
Select Users.
Next
to the desired User, select Edit (pencil icon).
Under
Basic Information, select the toggle to disable the
ability to Display contact in company directory. The toggle is
gray when the setting is disabled, and blue when the setting is enabled.
Select Save.
Note: If this setting is disabled, users will not
have their status presence available. If you would like to keep
presence status active within 8x8 Work the user must be enabled in the
contact directory.
